Place de la Concorde

Place de la Concorde 75008 Paris France

Place de la Concorde is the square between Champs-Élysées and Jardin des Tuileries, the Tuileries Garden. If you cross the bridge over the Seine (Pont de la Concorde), you will get to Palais Bourbon.

Place de la Concorde is a historic place where many French were guillotined, Marie Antoinette and Maximilien Robespierre among them.

There is an Egyptian Obelisk at the center of Place de la Concorde. It was the entrance to the Luxor temple in Egypt, but was given as a gift to France in 1829. There are two fountains at Place de la Concorde, and four statues representing the French cities.
