Paris airports

Paris has several airports, with two main ones for international flights:

Charles De Gaulle airport is the largest airport in France, and services most international airlines. Airport is conveniently located within 25 km (16 miles) from Central Paris. It is easily accessible by public transportation and by taxi. Learn more how to get from Charles de Gaulle airport to Paris.

Orly airport is just 14 km (9 miles) from Paris. It is convenient to get to and from the airport by taxi and public transportation. Learn more about getting to Paris from Orly airport.

Please always allow enough time for getting to and from Paris airports, especially if you are using a taxi, as traffic may be very heavy. If your flight from Paris is international, please allow extra time for security checks. It is better to be at the airport earlier to avoid any stress. If you can check-in online 24 hours before your departure, do so and save some time.

Always have important documents with you in hand luggage, including a proof of your hotel reservation in Paris (even when you are already leaving France). If you entered France by train, it might make sense to keep your train ticket as you might be requested to show how you entered the country when you are leaving.
